There are four incarnations of Buu. There is Fat Buu commonly known as Good Buu. Evil Buu which is looks the oldest among all the incarnations. Super Buu an incarnation of Buu where the Evil Buu eats the Good Buu. Lastly there is Kid Buu the pure form of Majin Buu and this incarnation that lacks any constraints. All four forms have appeared during one of the last arcs of the series called the Majin Buu arc. Majin Buu, by and large, served as one of the major antagonists of the arc and later became the main antagonist towards the end of the arc. Well I'll dissect the incarnations of Buu to show who is the best incarnation in terms of personality, feats, and characterization. Let's start from the blandest form to the best incarnation. Evil Buu didn't appear for too long in the story and did not do much besides provoke good buu turned him into chocolate, eat him and became Super Buu. This incarnation of Buu is simply evil but does not do anything to prove how deprave it truly is. Its laughter was funny though as it struck me as strange and random. Evil Buu's darkened appearance is unique as the other forms of Buu are all pink not purple. The darkened appearance illustrates the negative that Majin Buu contains. Overall, this form of Majin Buu, I can't blame it for being the blandest form as it only had probably ten minutes max of screen time. However, this incarnation seems to be as one-dimensional and static as some of the other incarnations so I'd say this form is the most insipid form of Buu in the series. Kid Buu was the purest form of Majin Buu. This incarnation lacked any constraints and was childish like the Fat Buu incarnation. This incarnation was the most destructive compared to the other incarnations having destroyed the very Earth it appeared on. Throughout its time in the series, it only reveled in the destruction that it did. There did not seem to be any other reason for it to be as destructive as it was since it was apart of its nature. This form of Majin Buu was best described as a force of nature than a being with some understanding of what was right or wrong. Its laughter and voice at times were funny. I mean besides being destructive, sadistic, and insane there is no other defining characteristic to Kid Buu heck there was no unique goal to this villain besides an intent to destroy anything around it. I'd say this incarnation was one-dimensional like Evil Buu but unlike the latter this one has some feats to itself. Fat Buu has more of a character. What's interesting about this Buu is that it has characterization. It initially appeared to be a global threat right upon its revival and was responsible for a lot of destruction under Babidi's presence. Heck this version of Buu was able to take a beating from Vegeta and take down and severely injure Gohan and Shin, a kai, because it was so powerful. With Mr. Satan, however, the danger to the Earth thing is kinda gone. This Buu is not one dimensional like the Evil counterpart or the Kid Buu incarnation. This Buu has a childish disposition that makes it less intimidating to many characters. In addition to that, it also has a sadistic side that does highlight a level of threat for the people around it. Fat Buu seems to care for the people it was around like Mr. Satan. When Mr. Satan was injured by Van Zant, Buu was deeply worried about him. Interestingly, his distress over Mr. Satan's injury caused him to release his negativity in the form of Evil Buu. I'd say this is the second best form of Majin Buu because it has some level of personality and feats that makes it interesting and characterization as a childish destroyer with some sense of empathy for those it cares for. Super Buu, last but not least, was the third incarnation of Buu we saw before Kid Buu and the most interesting form as well. This incarnation, like Kid Buu, had a wicked personality and malice to it. Like Frieza and Cell, this guy was a big time sadist. It had a unique personality from being hungry and dependent on candy like Fat Buu to being calculating, arrogant, and ruthless. I'd say this form of Majin Buu is the most depraved since this incarnation had moral agency, unlike Kid Buu, and knew what it was doing was evil but cared nothing for what it did to others. What's the most interesting aspect to Super Buu was its personality as being shown to be tactical, malevolent, homicidal, and prideful. This incarnation was also comical, in addition to being malicious. Especially in the scene where it was celebrating after seemingly absorbing Vegito. After absorbing Gotenks, Piccolo, and Gohan, it gained a more sophisticated, flamboyant, and intellectual personality. I'd say Super Buu is the best form of Majin Buu because of its feats, unique personality and characterization as a destructive brute with some level of humor and pride.
